Today, the IHETS Board of Directors launched its search for a new Executive Director to replace Dr. Dennis A. Trinkle, who has moved on to the Provost and Chief Academic Officer role at Harrison College. The search is open through September 30, with the intention of a new Executive Director starting January 1, 2010. The Board has appointed Simon Kissler, director of information technology, and Kristen Weaver, director of marketing and human resources, as co-interim executive directors during the transition.

The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership to ensure successful partnerships with university and college presidents, and other senior level governmental, political, educational administrators and leaders statewide in support of educational and public service initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong vision for the role of shared technology services in member institutions, and a demonstrated ability to forge collaborations across various sectors and interest groups and the ability to continue to grow a market-oriented business model for increasing the use of IHETS’ services.

Qualifications include: Master’s degree or higher strongly preferred in education, technology, business or related field; minimum 10 years in a senior leadership position in education or business, including experience in working with policy-making board/committee structures; experience in working with senior level institutional administrators and legislative and governmental officials.
