Members Can Take Advantage of New IHETS Services

In response to member requests, IHETS is pleased to announce the following new technology services available to help member institutions on tight budgets. Our recently upgraded data center allows IHETS to leverage its highly-flexible infrastructure and high-bandwidth connectivity options to create solutions to best fit your needs, from extra storage, redundancy, or off-site backup services.
- Colocation Services: virtual hosting services, physical server hosting, and consulting
- Security Services: managed firewall services, site-to-site managed VPN services, vulnerability and penetration testing
- Off-hours Help Desk Service: level one help desk support Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET., including entry into your trouble ticket system, basic desktop support, password resets, and course management inquiries
- Flash Live and Archive Webcasting Service: this service offers consistent user experience for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Flash is supported on a variety of web browsers including Internet Explorer®, Firefox and Safari. Almost anyone who can browse the web has the ability to watch Flash video without downloading additional software. Flash can be used for a variety of audio and video applications. Flash service has the ability to stream content immediately when the page is loaded since content is not cashed or downloaded.
