IHETS exists to serve as a resource of technology expertise for educational institutions across the State of Indiana. Our impact is felt across the many projects and solutions which keep our state's educational system running. In addition:

IHETS works to manage EBS (Educational Broadband System) licenses used for 4G services nationally which mandates that educational usage requirements instated by the FCC must be met. By working closely with our constituents, IHETS can ensure that the licenses are properly managed and utilized for the benefit of students across the State of Indiana.

IHETS is also behind the Indiana College Network (ICN), making the transfer of higher education course credits across multiple institutions possible for students in Indiana.

The organization takes on projects the serve as a catalyst for collaboration, drive access to higher and continuing education, and deliver cost-savings and efficiencies across the board.
