As a solutions provider, IHETS' technologies increase educational access, enhance instruction, enrich student learning, support state needs for economic and workforce development, facilitate research collaborations, and allow all members to efficiently conduct daily business.

IHETS provides reliable, cost-effective, and flexible shared technology services to help member institutions achieve their individual missions and common goals. As a member-driven consortium, IHETS is continually researching solutions for member challenges.
Online Learning: The Indiana College Network
IHETS administers a variety of programs and services designed to support the consortium's efforts and initiatives to deliver, increase, and enhance educational access for K-20 students and lifelong learners. IHETS also plays a critical role in facilitating awareness of and access to online learning opportunities in Indiana. The Commission on Higher Education’s draft strategic plan highlights the importance of new modes of instruction and outreach in meeting state secondary, higher education, and work force development education needs. IHETS’ programs and services are important components of this progress.
Collaboration
IHETS functions as a neutral platform where members can come together to address challenges and create solutions by facilitating knowledge and project sharing.
Consulting
IHETS works with member institutions on IT infrastructure and networking audits. Following assessment IHETS can creates strategic IT plans for members to help them more efficiently and creatively meet institutional goals.
Additionally IHETS offers Help Desk support, trouble-shooting, regular maintenance and system upgrades, and user training.
