Overview

One of three IHETS operating committees, the Technology Operations and Applications Committee is a primary leadership group replacing the former Integrated Technologies Committee (ITC).

The Technology Operations and Applications Committee will guide IHETS' direction and policies related to developing and managing services for consortium members.

Although the specific services to be offered as part of an organizational restructuring effort are currently being determined, they may include:

• Webcasting (streaming video and audio)

• Advanced network monitoring
• Security and firewalls
• Internet2 access and utilization
• SUVON
• Primary and secondary DNS
• Secondary mailhost
• I-Light network
• Storage area networking (co-location)
