Hear the latest information and a progress report on the IHETS satellite to streaming initiative and receive an introduction to IHETS Interactive, the new service slated to replace the IHETS satellite network in June of 2006.

IHETS Interactive is a Web conferencing application that combines one-way video, two-way audio, and a variety of presentation and collaboration tools within a standard Web browser. For satellite users, IHETS Interactive offers the same basic capabilities as satellite in addition to advanced features offering nearly unlimited potential for supporting new applications in instruction, administration, research, and outreach.

The presenters will offer a technical overview of IHETS Interactive, an outline of the implementation schedule, technical requirements for originators and receive sites, and a discussion on budgetary and policy implications of the conversion.

Security policies can be difficult to construct, however, because of all the issues that must be encompassed.  In this session, the key areas of a security policy will be discussed and strategies to build, enforce, and impart the importance of the security policy to the end users and high level management will be presented.
