Visit the CLC of Lawrence county for interactive tours, student demonstrations, door prizes, and snacks during their open house in celebration of 2005 Distance Education Week!

- 5 to 7 p.m.—Representatives from Indiana State University, Ivy Tech Bloomington, and Vincennes University will be on hand to talk with students and help them register for classes.

- 6 to 8 p.m.—Live, two-way video presentation titled "Undergraduate Degrees Available through Distance Education" with representatives from colleges throughout the state

The open house will include demonstrations of the center's two-way video conferencing system. The Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee and the College Cooperative Southeast will conduct a Scholarship Research Workshop via two-way videoconference. The workshop will cover meeting qualifications for scholarships, the scholarship interview process, components of most scholarship application packets, scholarship follow-up, recordkeeping, calendar for scholarship searching, FAQs, online scholarship search services, lists of scholarships, and more. Who should attend? Any junior or senior high school student, adult students, distance students, college students, parents, counselors and/or teachers interested in
financial assistance to help meet educational goals.
