Brief biography

Dr. Karen H. Bonnell is a professor of communication and director of Instructional Technology Services, including distance education, at the University of Southern Indiana. She serves as an administrator and faculty trainer for both the Blackboard course management system and the Macromedia Breeze Presenter and Live Meeting system. Prior to joining USI in 1990, Dr. Bonnell was an executive television news producer and broadcast journalist. She chairs the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications System video scheduling committee and is a member of the Indiana Partnership for Statewide Education committee.
