Brief biography

Michael Gay has served as Manager of Broadcast Networks & Services for Information Technology at Purdue (ITaP) for seven years. The scope of this position has included oversight of advanced classroom technology, broadcast video and audio services, video conferencing, Internet streaming, fiberoptic video services, satellite broadcast services, and distance learning facility design/integration. 

Michael will leave Purdue and relocate to Atlanta, GA with his family in November of this year. He has accepted a corporate position with Cumulus Broadcasting and will manage the nation-wide rollout of HD Radio, a terrestrial digital radio system.

Michael has a B.S. in electrical engineering technology from Purdue University specializing in embedded microcontroller and embedded digital signal processing system design, and project management. Before his work at Purdue, Michael worked as a radio broadcast engineering consultant specializing in studio design and construction and high power RF installations. He is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, Internet2 Digital Video Initiative, VideNet, IHETS' Integrated Technologies Committee, and chairs the CIC Video Working Group
