How to submit a presentation proposal
Prepare a short abstract and description (300-500 words) of your session topic.
Once you've written your description, enter it in the area indicated on the Call for Presenters form, providing your name, address, and other contact information where requested. (Please be sure to click the "finish" button so your form is submitted.)
Presentation topics
Proposed sessions should focus on detailed examples, real-world situations, best practices, lessons learned, and strategies for utilizing existing and emerging educational technologies. We especially encourage presentations on these topics:
- Infrastructure needs and support for course management systems
- Wireless deployment across your campus
- Effective WAN bandwidth management
- State-of-the-art video streaming
- Optical networking
- Open source tools
- Starting a new school year: mitigating damage from computer viruses, spyware, and other problems brought onto campus through infected student computers
- Network security solutions being implemented on your campus
Format for concurrent sessions
Each session will be 45 minutes
in length, during which presenter(s) deliver a lecture, conduct a panel discussion, and/or engage the
audience in a discussion around a single topic or group of
related topics. Although a variety of session formats are possible,
presenters are encouraged to incorporate opportunities for
audience participation. A laptop, LCD projector, and Internet connection will be provided. Other presentation
equipment may be available upon request.
NOTE: Presenters who wish attendees to have hard copies of their presentation slides or other material are resonsible for providing them. Presenters who would like PowerPoint slides to be posted online so attendees can download and print their own hard copies should e-mail their slides to:
