Van Houweling to keynote
Tech Summit 2007 keynote speaker will be Dr. Douglas E. Van Houweling, President and CEO of Internet2. As a former chair of the board of MERIT, Inc., when the National Science Foundation awarded it responsibility to operate the NSFNET national Internet backbone in 1987, Van Houweling understands the value state and regional networks bring to the higher education computing environment. Indiana's rolling technology horizon with implementation of I-Light across the state will open new opportunities for Indiana's colleges and universities to take advantage of advanced applications available through Internet2.
