In addition to online courses, distance education classes are also delivered via video conferencing, videotape and CD-ROMs, cable/public television, and traditional correspondence.

“There is a wonderful range of summer courses from which to choose,” says Susan Scott, director of e-learning at the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System (IHETS). “Many people still think of summer school as limited, but those days are over!”
ICN is one of the services offered by IHETS, a consortium of higher education institutions in Indiana that includes seven public colleges and universities as well as 31 independent colleges and universities.
Working together through IHETS, these institutions provide flexible, real-time and on-demand access to educational programs for Hoosiers in the convenience of their homes, schools, and offices.
ICN is a gateway to statewide information on distance learning opportunities in Indiana.
