IHETS provides Web-based and satellite video services for May 6 Indiana Innovation Network event

INDIANAPOLIS—IHETS is partnering with the Indiana Innovation Network (IIN) to provide video conferencing, live and archived Web-based streaming video, and satellite broadcast services for a May 6 panel discussion originating from the University of Notre Dame. Streaming for the discussion—which will highlight Indiana research collaborations and innovations in the areas of orthopedics, nanotechnology, fuel cells, and carbon composites—will appear on a 15-second delay, but will otherwise be live. Video of the event will be distributed to universities around the state. Participating institutions include Ball State University, Indiana State University, Indiana University, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, Purdue University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and the University of Notre Dame. IHETS will also stream the event to select national and international locations. Satellite broadcasts will be available through the IHETS receive site network. Live and archived streaming of the Webcast discussion (using WindowsMedia and RealPlayer) will be available on May 6, 2005 beginning at 1:40 p.m. EST. IIN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of Indiana's technology research base and technology-based entrepreneurial ventures.
