Newly restructured IHETS Board of Directors is announced

INDIANAPOLIS—As part of a major organizational review during the third and fourth quarters of 2005, IHETS announces a newly restructured Board of Directors.

The 13-member board includes top administrators at public and private higher education institutions, state agencies, and nonprofit public sector organizations. They include:

    President, Independent Colleges of Indiana, Inc.
  • Dr. Ed Kinley
    Vice President, Information Technology & CIO, Indiana State University
  • Dr. James Moseley
    President, Franklin College
  • Michael Piper
    Executive Director, Indiana Cooperative Library Services
  • Dr. Jeff Pittman
    Chancellor, Ivy Tech Community College–Wabash Valley

Responsible for IHETS stewardship, governance, and general oversight, these individuals will engage in priority-setting, strategic planning, and developing policies for services. In addition, they will oversee fiduciary matters and act as advocates on behalf of all consortium members. The IHETS Executive Committee, composed of the board chair and the chairs of each IHETS operating committee, will report directly to the board. The Executive Committee will determine how to move forward with and resolve policy and operational issues.
