In addition to the e-learning services work plan study noted by the co-chairs of the IPSE Committee, three other IHETS work plan studies that have been under way since October are also expected to be completed by the end of April.

The Technical Operations and Applications Committee is nearly 80% complete in its evaluation of existing technology services, including enhancements, and possible new services for the 2007-08 fiscal year.

As part of the evaluation of technology services, the committee requested the input of all member institutions via a survey to help insure complete alignment with member needs. The committee is reviewing the survey results and plans to reach a decision on a recommendation of technology services to the Board of Directors within the stated time frame.

The work plan also calls for performance goals, outcome measures, and marketing strategies to be developed for each service the committee recommends be offered in the coming year.  Once the Board identifies services to be offered, the committee will turn its attention to these items.

The Finance Committee has drafted three models for pricing IHETS e-learning and technology services.  The committee is awaiting final action on IHETS’ appropriation request by the legislature before determining which, if any, of these models will be recommended to the Board of Directors for implementation for consortium members.  An alternative model for pricing services for affiliate members, such as state government will also be drafted. In addition, other sources of possible revenue will be investigated.

The communication strategy work plan is progressing on schedule with the release of the fourth newsletter.  The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors will await the outcomes of the legislative appropriation process and the technical operations and e-learning work plan studies before determining other communication strategies.
