IHETS Interactive Meeting

Information and resources for hosts, participants, schedulers, and receive sites

IHETS Interactive Meeting is a Web-based conferencing system with robust tools for real-time communication and collaboration, including two-way video and audio, text chat, application sharing, electronic whiteboard, annotated PowerPoint presentations, polling, and quizzing.

Hosts

Hosts (typically faculty and instructors teaching a course during a given semester or the convener of one-time or regularly scheduled administrative meetings) will want to familiarize themselves with IHETS' host information, which includes with step-by-step instructions outlining key features, functions, and tasks that hosts most often use and need to complete. The resources here include links to a short video demonstration of IHETS Interactive, documentation for installing and configuring IHETS Interactive, a comprehensive host manual and quick start guides, how to obtain training and technical support, and more.

Participants

Participants are most often students completing higher education courses and associated class projects or faculty and staff attendees of administrative meetings. The participant information includes resources and documentation to help participants become actively engaged users of this service, including system requirements, how to install and configure IHETS Interactive, a participant manual, quick start guides, and how to obtain training and technical support.

Scheduling (campus contacts and reserving meeting rooms)

A number consortium members have designated campus contacts who coordinate all IHETS Interactive requests and reservations on behalf of their faculty and staff. Before attempting to schedule a meeting, please familiarize yourself with the scheduling information to determine if your institution has a designated contact (if so, please contact that individual; if not, you may schedule your own meetings). This page also includes links to the complete scheduling policy and pages that explain how to obtain a test account, complete the scheduling request form, and update or make changes to a previously scheduled meeting.
