Scheduling connections to AVS (Vision Athena) content

The Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC), an IHETS affiliate member, provides rich program offerings that are often referred to as Vision Athena (AVS) content. Many of these programs are offered by other organizations throughout Indiana, across the nation, and beyond. They can be found by searching all programs on CILC's Web site.

If you are interested in connecting to and accessing AVS programs, please follow these steps.

Step 1
Call or e-mail IHETS Help Desk at 317.263.8999. Please provide:

• Program title
• Provider name
• Program date
• Network time

The Help Desk staff will give you:

• The project number
• IHETS brick number
• IHETS codec number (to call IHETS and connect to the program)

Step 2
To request a program through www.cilc.org, use the Request this Program Now option at the bottom of each program or go to http://www.cilc.org/request.aspx.

Please complete the form, including the following sections:

• From the Site to be Scheduled drop-down list, select the assigned brick (IHETS Brick 1 or IHETS Brick 2).
• Enter the project number¹ assigned by IHETS and your IP address². 
• Select your site in the drop down list for Participating Site³

Step 3
At the bottom of the Program Request Form, click Forward to Site to be Scheduled for PIN Authorization. This forwards your request to Cheryl Ross, who will enter the IHETS PIN which, in turn, sends your request on for scheduling.


Step 4
If your connection is with an AVS site, you will receive a confirmation e-mail prior to your program.
