esearch
has shown that student engagement is an important predictor of
academic success. We know that students learn more and are better
able to apply what they learn when they regularly participate
in active and collaborative learning experiences. We also know
that technology, when used appropriately, can play a pivotal
role in transforming lecture-centric instruction to a more
student-centered model with opportunities for critical
thinking, self-reflection and evaluation, collaborative research
and problem solving, experiential learning, and other activities
that foster the development of higher-order cognitive skills.
This year's All Partner's Conference will examine current and
emerging technology tools and associated practices that have
the potential to increase student engagement and improve learning
outcomes. Come spend the day with us to learn more about how
and why these tools are making a difference at Indiana colleges
and universities.
