Session Description:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) is a metropolitan research university with a Fall 2005 enrollment exceeding 45,000 students. UCF’s distributed learning initiative has grown to exceed 1,200 courses offered as fully online or blended with more than 45,000 students enrolled each year. The Research Initiative for Teaching Effectiveness (RITE) at UCF has evaluated the impact of this initiative since the inception of online courses at UCF in 1996. In this session, Patsy Moskal, Associate Director of RITE, will discuss this ongoing evaluation and the impact these courses have had on students, faculty, and programs at UCF.
